Almost over... + a little background

Little Shop of Horrors is now almost over, with only two shows left; tonight and the final performance on Saturday night. It's been a fantastic experience helping light (if only on a few nights xD) the show. The cast and crew are a hilarious bunch of people and the show itself was great too. Little Shop was the first show I was a part of outside school productions,
and it was cool to be working inside a real theatre, rather than our crummy school hall. All we have at school is two bars of mainly PARnels and a couple PAR cans and zoom spots controlled by two dimmers, and a Theatrelight Scenemaster console. When we do our major production every other year we get in more lamps (including cyc/striplights), two extra dimmers as well as a cyclorama and a Cuemaster desk thanks to Dave, MPA and other places. Considering our limited resources and facilities at school, I'm really proud of what we do achieve. When everyone comes together- students, teachers, parents, friends, families, everyone- to put on a show, it's great.

Our sound and lighting desks set up in FOH position for West Side Story. We don't have a booth so this is the best we can so.

I took this photo on our Gala opening night for WSS. We don't have an orchestra pit either.
